Federal Trade Commission will ban most non-compete clauses in employment contracts

The Federal Trade Commission recently issued a final rule broadly banning the majority of non-compete clauses in employment contracts, which are typically meant to stop employees from working for or starting with competing companies within outlined geographic and time limits.

Jodyann Galvin spoke to Spectrum News and outlined what the ruling means for employers and highlighted some “next steps” they should take to ensure they’re compliant with the ruling.
